A former Bloomberg Bureau Chief and ModKaf’s founder, Sophia spent 20 years defining news strategy on Wall Street. She brings a keen awareness to how the media operates, and the skills needed for content-rich stories that educate audiences and change perceptions. Her experience merges the best of storytelling with strategic communications. She has secured media placements for clients in top-tier news outlets including BBC, Bloomberg, the Financial Times, Wall Street Journal, among others.
Sophia serves on the board of the The School in Rose Valley, one of the nation’s oldest progressive elementary schools. She is passionate about nonprofits and in the past has served as a volunteer for Compass, a Washington-based organization offering long-term pro bono consulting to nonprofits on board governance, marketing, fundraising and strategic alignment. Her pro bono practice also includes development of a basketball academy for underserved youth and strategic advisory for a mental health nonprofit in Connecticut.
A marketing executive with 20 years experience, Jacqueline unlocks buyer needs helping brands build strategies that engage, inspire and create impact. Her work spans companies and business units in varying maturity stages and ownership structures. Throughout her career she has been known as a digital disruptor, helping some of the world’s most recognizable brands, including Edelman, Ogilvy, Hewlett-Packard, LinkedIn, SAI Global and LG, transition to digital-first PR, brand narrative and content strategies.
Jacqueline is our Corporate Communications Practice lead and runs our Fractional CMO service. Jacqueline has worked with organizations that support the advancement of women and children in education and workforce development.
Spencer is a senior content strategist at ModKaf, with more than a decade of experience as a writer and editor. He has sound success in an eclectic series of positions, including fiction editor for Persona at the University of Arizona, romance ghostwriter, eCommerce writer, and author of interactive eLearning for global corporations.
Today, Spencer is proud to apply his dual degree in English & Philosophy to polished and insightful thought leadership and marketing content for ModKaf’s clients. Every project is driven by relentless curiosity and the desire to discover new frontiers across all industries.
Spencer lives south of Seattle.
Cindy is a Filipino-American writer, a former Associated Press reporter, and an early childhood published author. She has two decades of experience as a writer and editor, including working as a journalist in the Philippines, Taiwan, and the United States. Cindy has expertise writing for digital content and search engine optimization.
She has a master’s degree in journalism from Ohio State University. Cindy is the author of a series of four “How to Draw the Sights and Symbols” children’s nonfiction books about the Philippines, Ireland, Pakistan, and Peru, published by Rosen Publishing Group Inc. As a writer and editor at the nonprofit American Arbitration Association (New York City), her works carried an essential educational mission to help educate the public about arbitration, mediation, and alternative dispute resolution. As a newspaper reporter in Manila, Philippines, she covered the education beat.
Frida is a PR Specialist/Account Manager at ModKaf with 10 years of experience in the field of public relations. She graduated from the University of Austin in Texas and has worked across different industries throughout her career including fashion, food, music, hospitality, lifestyle, HR, risk management, compliance, and tech. Frida’s passion is to work with innovators to bring new ideas and execute them in imaginative ways. Some of her hobbies include traveling, writing, and finding the best places to eat and drink around the world.
